永尾かね駒製作所 肥後守 VG10割込 ステンレス 大

日本の伝統的な折込式ナイフ「肥後守」を、現代的な素材で仕上げたモデルです。

ブレードにはVG10を芯材とした割込み構造を採用し、鋭い切れ味と耐久性を両立。さらにステンレス外装により錆びに強く、日常使いでも扱いやすい仕様となっています。

使用時には「チキリ」と呼ばれる突起部分を親指で押さえることでブレードを固定する、日本ならではのシンプルな構造。ロック機構はありませんが、軽作業や日常用途に適した実用的なナイフです。

1890年代に誕生した肥後守は、かつては鉛筆削りとして広く親しまれた日本の定番刃物。現在でも兵庫県三木市の永尾かね駒製作所によって製造が続けられています。

A modern take on the traditional Japanese folding knife “Higonokami,” crafted by Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho.

This model features a VG10 core laminated with stainless steel, offering excellent edge retention along with improved corrosion resistance, making it suitable for everyday use.

The blade is secured by pressing the extended tang, known as the “Chikiri,” with your thumb during use. While it does not have a locking mechanism, its simple and reliable construction makes it practical for light-duty tasks.

Originally developed in the 1890s, the Higonokami became widely used in Japan as a pencil-sharpening tool. Today, it remains an iconic Japanese knife, still handcrafted in Miki City, Hyogo.
